The concept of mimesis generated endless inspiration to this series of photography and digital imaging. Mimesis is a philosophical term referring to the transformation of natural worlds into symbolic worlds. Within this paradigm there is no directness. Things are always reflected upon. Facts are always interpreted facts, carrying their inner and outer horizon (perspective) with them. Symbols, words and images, are going back and forth, between subject and object and subject and subject and even between worlds. We see only the outside of this, but what happens at the inside of this mimetic process? And so a photo shooting was held in the depth of the night, the camera used, almost like a paintbrush, turning flowers into metaphors.
