Photo's shown:
The three "Inner Horizons" represent the colorful cultural backdrops that are in people's minds, giving the richness of different perspectives in which the world is perceived.
In the "Mimetic Dances" the green lilly relates to the outside world in a dance, showing how she steps out of herself to reverse herself back into her own inner world, and vise versa, carefully exploring the world around her.
"Transmission in Colors" is a vibrant colorful representation of the mimetic transformation. The inner world is stepping out of herself to find connection with other inner worlds.
"Burning Inside" (because there is some near reflection). In this photo you see on the forefront some reflection. Do we not all yearn for reflection, for acknowledgement of our being, our expressions to the outside world? Without reflection nothing really exists.
"Burning inside, detail", is a detail of this photo, giving a closer look on how deep this burning can be when being reflected, as the sun.

About designer:
Jean-Marc Skalli launched his own brand of designer jewelry in the mid-Nineties, that is both minimalist and full of character. He is not only founder but alsodesigner and creates all his jewelry collections by himself. While he has a firm eye on modernity, at heart Jean-Marc Skalli is still a Sixties fan, drawing inspiration from the acid colors of the pop art era and the geometric designs of the Sixties and Seventies. Season after season, he expresses a style that has now proved unique: a flourish of warm, bright Mediterranean colors combined with outstanding design-forms that are streamlined and modern. This jewelry now evinces a powerful, fast growing identity. In January 1997 first collections were sold in the top Paris boutiques. In1998 Skalli started his own company. In1999 he participated with great success in the Bijorhca exhibition, leading to its selection by the Printemps Group. Boutiques opened in Paris: Saint Germain des Pr?s neighbourhood 2001; Rue de Birague, Place des Vosges 2003; Rue de Provence Marai Quarter 2005, Rue des Rosiers 2007), also in La Samaritaine 2003 and in Lille in the very heart of the old town 2003. There are 18 Skalli corners at Printemps, and 55 in ¡§Galeries Lafayette¡¨. His first boutique in Hong Kong was opened in 2007.

FLOWERS BECOME METAPHORS
The concept of mimesis generated endless inspiration for my alternative photography. Shooting in the depth of the night with the camera used almost like a paint-brush.
The philosophical term Mimesis refers to the transformation of natural worlds into symbolic worlds. In this paradigm there is no directness, things are always reflected upon, there are no pure and simple facts, they are always interpreted facts. A flood of symbols; words, gestures, images¡Kare going hence and forth between subject and object and subject and subject¡Kexpressions, reflected receptions¡K We see only the outside of this, but what happens during the mimetic process inside?
The photography shown in most of last held exhibitions were reflections on the concept of ¡§Mimesis¡¨ (Hong Kong: ¡§in Full Bloom¡¨ Febr. 2007 ); Amcham April ¡V July 2007; ¡§Mimesis¡¨ - July 2006 ¡§Crackers¡¨ - March 2006. Penang: ¡§Still Light¡¨ ¡V April 2006.
